Strategic WWII Charles Parker Cabin. Glacier Bay Monument, Alaska. |
Built early 1940's on the shores of Lake Independence (now Bartlett Lake) to serve as a "safe house" in case of Japanese invasion. From this well-stocked, birds-eye-view location, the U. S. Government could be kept informed of enemy movement by "under-cover" Charles Lincoln Parker.
