Lode Claim "Toots" Location By Leslie Parker, Glacier Bay, Alaska.

Lode claim location notice with handwritten map for "Toots" mining claim by Leslie "Les" Parker and witnessed by brothers Glen R. B. Parker & Albert "Bert" Parker. Believed to be located in October (no date) & recorded in Juneau, Territory of Alaska on Nov. 21, 1938.


NOTICE OF LOCATION OF LODE MINING CLAIM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:  That the undersigned, having compiled with all the require­ments of law and the local rules and customs, has this day made discovery and thereby loc­ates and claims 1500 linear feet from discovery post, extending_ feet at which point this notice is posted, as allowed by law.

This claim shall be known as the TOOTS Lode Claim, and is more particularly described

 

as follows:    Commencing at the discovery and running thence.

4OO feet Southeryly to the South Center end;   thence

300 feet Westerly to the South Westerly corner;  thence 1500 feet Northerly to the North Westerly corner;   thence 3OO feet Easterly to the Northerly Center End

300 feet Easterly to the Northeasterly corner;   thence 1500 feet Southerly to the South Easterly corner;  thence 300 feet Westerly to place of beginning.

This claim is located In the Juneau Mining District in Glacier Bay ¼  mile from the mouth of Ptarmigan Creek over 2 miles from the mouth of Lampugh (ed: Lamplugh) Glacier half way between Reid Glacier and Lampugh Glacier South Reid Inlet.
