Dear Mr. Parker,

Your letter of 13 January 1954 to the Commanding General, Fort Richardson, Alaska, concerning your property near the Gustavus Airport, has been referred to this headquarters for reply.
The Gustavus Airport was declared excess to military requirements in 1947 and is currently under control of the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA). At the present time there is no foreseeable military requirement for your property.
It is suggested that you contact the CAA in Anchorage, Alaska, concerning possible plans for expansion of the present airport facilities,
It is further suggested that you contact Mr. Virgil 0. Seiser, Manager, District Land Office, Anchorage, Alaska, in order to determine current jurisdiction and acquisition procedure for any additional land you might require.
