"Uncle" Pearl Haynes Inquiring About Strawberry Point Hometsteaders.

"Uncle" Pearl's handwritten letter from Cedar, Kansas trip inquiring about Glen & Charlie Parker, Marvin Chase, and Jake Hall at the "Pant" (Point). Signs himself as "Old Man From The Sea". Pearl Haynes lived off & on at Strawberry Pt. & was Edith Parker's brother.


My Dear Nephew Glen Parker of Alaska (,) How all get along (?) I'm still at old farm in sunny Kansas (.) So you in Juneau (.) Say (,) is lots snow around hills on Douglas if to north wind blows (?) How all Point (?) So Charles sold land (.) Say Glen have you got homestead land at at Gustavus Point yet (?) Or have sold it (?) What land sale for at (?) Where all Chases--Arch (,) Marvin Chases (?) Are they and Jake Hall on Copper River (?) Have got old sawmill yet (?) Well write a line so knows I still alive (.)
