181  Carl Johnson & 2 Yoked "Working" Galloway Bulls. Gustavus, Alaska.

  • Description: Galloways bred from local Parker stock. Sam Buoy and Hank & Carl Johnson contrived the idea of using the bulls as "Work Horses" to pull firewood with hand carved, wooden yoke. Rink Creek Homestead.

  • Description: Earliest "sitting" in full dress photograph. Abraham age 39, Edith age 37, and the children Lt. to Rt. Eunice 11, Leslie 1, Inez May 10, Bert 3, Charles 8. Glen was born 3 yrs. later in Skagway, Alaska in 1908.

189  "Edith A" in the Frigid Waters of Johns Hopkins Inlet, Glacier Bay, Alaska.
  • Date: 1939 (Estimate)
  • Description: "Edith A" in Glacier Bay. Designed & built by A. L. Parker in Excursion Inlet 1917/18. Later "crushed" between military barge & a dock during war construction. She was completely rebuilt compliments the military.
